When Tom Ford released A Single Man, it was like fashion's deities had deigned to share a slice of sartorial heaven by way of film. The costumes, the scenery --every second of film was like a time-warp into a midcentury melange of fastidiously-styled beauties. When eyeing these images of Tiffany's immaculately-imagined leading lady, they evoked much of the same pristinely picturesque ennui that Ford's film channels. With pastel shades of tangible longing, this shoot oozes the nostalgic prettiness of soft-hued atomic-age luxury. Here we have a very single singularly lovely darling, all dressed up with no place to go. Staying in has never looked this good.
